While most phone-makers launch one flagship phone every year, some big companies tend to launch two flagships a year. Samsung, Huawei and LG are among some of these names. With LG G6 having been a success, LG is now focusing on their next big phone, the LG V30. The phone has always been quite an innovative offering. This year too, LG is all set to introduce these innovations. Let us take a look at what the phone is suppose to be like.
A leaked render has showcased one of the biggest highlights of the LG V30 – a secondary slide out display! The LG V-series devices have always had a secondary display, but it was usually a small screen on the top. This year, LG has taken things to the next level by introducing a considerably larger secondary display which slides out from the bottom of the screen. It does look like an interesting concept.
These leaks come via Evan Blass, one of the most popular, well-known tipsters in the world of smartphone technology. Before this leak the only things we knew about the LG V30 was that it is supposed to support the Google Daydream VR, and that it would come with an OLED display.
Sliding out this secondary display could allow the users to customize. However, Blass has also pointed out that the LG V30 mockups that he shared are supposed to be slightly old, and that LG may or may not go with this plan.
The phone may remind you of BlackBerry Priv, however unlike Priv, the LG V30 would not feature a physical keyboard and would use the slide-out panel as a secondary display. When you insert the slide out display back into the phone, only a small portion of it sticks out, which acts as a regular secondary display as we have seen on the LG V20.
