Google is among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has been around for 18 years now, and have been one of the most dominating forces in the industry. There was a lot of hype around Google coming out with a number of new devices on the 4th of October. Well, 4th of October is here, and Google did make some major announcements. The most noticeable of these announcements was the one around the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones.


The two smartphones were highly anticipated, and have finally come out. Let us take a look at the specs and features of the devices: The Google Pixel as well as the Pixel XL, both feature the Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm. Both the devices feature 4GB of RAM, and storage variants of 32GB as well as 128GB. The devices both feature a 12.3MP camera, along with an 8MP front facing camera. Both of them feature the Google Assistant too. The devices are both compatible with the Google Daydream VR.

The Google Pixel, as well as the Pixel XL run on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS. While there are many similarities, there are differences too. The Pixel comes with a 5 inched screen, while the Pixel XL features a 5.5 inched screen. The smaller of the two, the Pixel features a 2770mAh battery, while the Google Pixel XL features a 3450mAh battery.

Owners of either of the devices would get unlimited photo storage in original size from Google Photos. Those who order the Verizon Google Pixel smartphones would be getting a Daydream View VR headset for free. The smartphones are priced in at an entry level of $649 and $769 for the Pixel and Pixel XL respectively. Users need to pay additional $100 for the 128GB variant of either of the smartphones.
