Honor 8 Pro Unveiled in India, A Tough Competition to OnePlus 5

Honor has been among the biggest, most popular names around the globe when it comes to the world of smartphone technology. The company is owned by Huawei, and it offers a more value-for-money solution for smartphone users. The phones that come from Honor are not priced in at a very high price point, but offer great features. Their latest release, the Honor 8 Pro is all set to go on sale in India in the first week of July.

The phone was unveiled in India a day after the OnePlus 5 launched. The Honor 8 Pro competes with the OnePlus 5 as it too, offers similar strong specs at a competitive price point. Let us now take a look at the specifications of the latest Honor smartphone:

The Honor 8 Pro comes out into the markets with a 5.7 inched QHD 2K Display. The phone runs on the EMUI 5.1, which offers a very fluid functionality. The display of the phone is really good and it is a major edge that it has over the OnePlus 5 which was a major disappointment in terms of display.

Talking about the processing, the Honor 8 Pro runs on the Kirin 960 processor, which is currently Huawei’s flagship processor. The processor is aided by a 6GB RAM along with 128GB of storage space. The Honor 8 also allows expanding the storage space with the help of a Micro SD card, something that is lacking in the OnePlus 5.

The phone comes out into the markets with dual cameras on the back. Both these cameras come out at 12 MP. One of the two is an RGB sensor and the other is a monochrome sensor. The latest Honor flagship is made of glass and metal – a combination that gives it quite a premium look. It has the fingerprint sensor on the back. The phone offers the users with Midnight Black and Platinum Gold color variants.
