Motorola’s latest device to reach India is their entry level smartphone, the Moto C. This series of devices were announced last month, and have since taken the entry level spot from Moto E devices. The devices finally come to India, one of the biggest markets for Motorola, at a price point of just Rs. 5,999. It will be available online as well as via offline retailers in India.
The Moto C was launched originally in two variants, a 3G variant along with a 4G variant. However, in India, only the 4G variant of the phone has been launched. It is different from both the variants launched in China as it offers 1GB of RAM with 16GB of storage (as opposed to 8GB there). Storage is expandable with the help of Micro SD cards. The phone offers 4G VoLTE support as well as dual-SIM support.
It is an entry level phone, so do not expect much from the device. Moto C runs on a 1.1GHz MediaTek MT6737M quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC. It comes out into the markets with a 5 inched FWVGA display without a fingerprint scanner. It comes with a speaker grille on the back, and offers a 3.5mm jack on the top. Motorola has been standardizing their devices this year – even the Moto C comes out into the markets with a round camera module on the back.
The aforementioned camera comes out with a 5MP sensor on the back. It features a flash, as well as 720p video recording. The front camera is quite disappointing at just 2MP, but what else do you expect at this price point! Motorola has done a good job with this entry level Moto C smartphone. The Moto C runs on a 2350mAh battery which is removable. Stay tuned with us for all the updates on latest smartphone releases.
