Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Flip Phone Is Official

Before the Android revolution came around and more or less standardized the way smartphones look like, there were many experiments which were done in the past. Companies such as Samsung were quite the innovators in the past, and they continue to be so. Even in 2017, Samsung is still launching flip phones. The latest phone to come from Samsung is the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2, a flip phone which has been announced in their home market of South Korea.

The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 phone was spotted on various leaks and benchmark listings in the past. However, there was a period of silence following those leaks. The phone is now officially out and the specifications have been declared by Samsung. Let us take a closer look at what this 2017 flip phone from Samsung has to offer:

Samsung’s latest release, which is exclusive to South Kroea for now, comes out with a 3.8 inched display. Interestingly, there’s only one display, and that is on the inside. The outside shell does not feature any display panels. The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 runs on a 1.4GHz quad-core processor. The phone comes with 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of storage space which can be expanded with a Micro SD card. The phone offers a 1950mAh battery which is good enough to power the 3.8 inch display.

The phone comes out in a 3G variant and a 4G LTE variant. It comes out in a black and a burgundy variant. The phone comes out at a price of 297,000 Won ($260). Interestingly this won’t even be the first flip phone to come out this month, as LG launched a flip phone in association with Verizon last week. Looks like the Flip phones are soon going to be cool again! As of now the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is a device exclusive to South Korea. Stay tuned with us for an update on international availability.
