Samsung has been among the biggest names when it comes to the global android markets. However, it does not stop Samsung from experimenting with other Operating Systems. Most notable of these experiments are the phones that run on Samsung’s Tizen OS. Samsung has today announced their latest Z-series smartphone running the Tizen OS 3.0, the Samsung Z4.

This Tizen based Samsung smartphone is an entry level device that comes out into the markets with a 4.5 inched display. The phone offers a resolution of 800 x 480, and comes with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The phone runs on a quad core processor, clocked in at 1.5GHz. The processor that powers the Samsung Z4 hasn’t been specified.

This phone comes out into the markets with 1 GB of RAM along with a 5 MP camera on the front as well as the back. Both the cameras come with LED flash (the back camera as a dual flash). The Samsung Z4 is powered by a 2500mAh battery. The phone would release in three color variants: gold, silver, and black.

The phone is going to be a highlight at the Tizen Developers Conference which will be held starting the 16th of May in San Francisco. In some nations, the phone supports dual SIM support. Samsung Z4 also supports 4G LTE connectivity. What this phone actually signifies is more than just an entry level device.
