Sony Xperia XZ Premium Launches in South Korea on 8th June

Sony has been a company in conflict. Over the past couple of years they have been doubling down on their efforts to ensure that their smartphone division picks up and does well. Sony has been taking many steps to ensure that, including limiting phones to certain geographies, etc. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is now all set to launch in South Korea. The phone has been around for a while, and is finally making its way to South Korea.

UK, Germany, Austria and Malaysia already have the phone, and it now comes to South Korea, where it will be priced in at 869,000 Won. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium can be bought from Sony Store, SK Telecom, WorldDirect, Gmarket and other online/offline stores. Pre-ordering the phone would get you a free smart band as well as cases. The phone, which was launched at the Mobile World Congress 2017 is perhaps going to be the last ‘Premium’ branded smartphone from Sony. This is another of Sony’s strategies to make it in the markets.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes out into the markets with a 5.46 inched display which offers up to a 4K resolution. The device runs on the latest processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835. It was one of the first few devices to be announced with this processor. Sony tried creating a high-end device with the Xperia XZ Premium. The phone also features 4GB of RAM.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS, and offers impressive cameras as well. Sony has always been known to be a brand which features impressive cameras. Sony’s lenses are used by a number of brands. Sony’s latest smartphone comes out with a 19MP primary camera on the back, and a 13MP front camera. Update: A Sony Rep contacted us with additional information on this story. Those who pre-order the smartphone on Austria’s ‘3’ telecom get a PlayStation 4 Slim bundled with the phone. This PS4 Slim comes in a White variant, and comes with a 500GB storage space.
