Over the past few years, Alcatel has been rising in popularity when it comes to the world of smartphone technology. The company has been a part of successful partnerships and has been releasing a number of successful Android and Windows Mobile based smartphones. The company is all set to release their next tablet in association with T-Mobile, the T-Mobile Alcatel A30. It is expected to release in May.
The naming of this tablet is quite confusing as Alcatel already has a smartphone which is named the Alcatel A30. Similar to the phone, the T-Mobile Alcatel A30 tablet is expected to be an entry-level device priced in at a budget-friendly price. Reports from TechnoBuffalo indicate that the T-Mobile Alcatel A30 tablet would be one of the lowest priced tablets from them.
Alcatel has, in the past, released various other low-priced tablets. Last year they released a $130 tablet in association with T-Mobile. The new T-Mobile Alcatel A30 tablet too is expected to be priced in at a similar range, or possibly at an even lesser price point.
The tablet is expected to release into the markets with an 8 inched IPS display. The tablet would be powered by a 1.1Ghz Qualcomm processor, likely to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210. Current speculations indicate that the T-Mobile Alcatel A30 will run on 2GB of RAM along with 16 GB of built-in storage. The tablet will feature support for expandable storage.
The T-Mobile Alcatel A30 tablet is expected to run on the Android Nougat OS, and will feature a 5MP camera in the front as well as the back. Current speculations also indicate that the tablet would release with an IR blaster that would allow it to be used as a universal remote as well. The tablet is also expected to release with a SIM slot as well. It would be interesting to see if it supports 4G LTE connectivity as well. Stay tuned with us for more information on the same.
