Windows 10 has been one of the most ambitious projects from Microsoft in the past several years. Based on reports obtained via MSPowerUser, Microsoft intends to bring forward a new ebook store in the OS. This would function alongside the Windows Store. The company has been promoting the usage of ebooks and other similar formats of reading on their OS. Late in 2016, they started support of EPUB format on the Microsoft Edge browser.

The first look of an e-books store for Windows 10 Mobile OS has now been spotted today. However, it also looks like the feature will soon make an appearance on the Windows PC and tablet devices. Buying an ebook from the Windows 10 ebook store will be the same as buying anything else like an app or a game. Find the book you like, and press the ‘buy’ button!

After you buy the book, it can be read on the Microsoft Edge browser. Edge too, is getting a dedicated section for ebooks! In addition to that, users will soon be able to add bookmarks to the books. Various customization options too, are on their way. Users will be able to customize the theme of the reader, as well as the font family and font size.

This is indeed an interesting addition to the diverse range of offerings that Microsoft’s Windows 10 has to offer to the users. The feature is likely to go live in the next few days for the users. Stay tuned with us at Newsient for all the latest updates on the OS.
