Micromax’s subsidiary brand, Yu launched a new phone after almost a year today. The company announced the Yu Yureka Black into the markets. The last phone that Yu launched came out in August 2016. There have since been rumors that the brand might be shut down by parent Micromax due to slow growth. However, at today’s event, Yu stated they are here to stay. Let us take a closer look:
This new smartphone from Yu, the Yu Yureka Black will be a Flipkart-exclusive. The phone will be coming out into the markets with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 and it would offer some impressive features at this price point. The phone would officially go on sale on midnight 6th of June, and it would be launched in Chrome Black and Matte Black color variants.
The Yu Yureka Black is an all-metal launch from Yu, and it comes out into the markets with an impressive 5 inched full-HD display. It runs on a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the front, on the home button. The phone also features 4G LTE connectivity.
The phone also offers a 32GB storage space, which can be expanded using a Micro SD card. The phone offers decent specifications at a low price. You would have laughed at us if we said that a 4GB RAM phone would come out in a sub-10,000 price range.
The phone features a 13MP camera, along with dual LED flash. It comes with a 5-element lens which makes photography better. The Yu Yureka Black comes out with an 8MP front camera as well.
