Over the past several years, Samsung has been the number one name in the Android markets. The company struck gold with many innovative ideas early on. They were among the first few brands to come out with dual-flagships. This has been a strategy that has been working out really well for them. Samsung’s dual flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S series and the Note series of smartphones are doing well for them. The company, earlier this year released the Samsung Galaxy S7, and has now introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

The Note 7 released with quite a few new features, and is doing well in the markets based on the pre-orders. A few days ago we ran a story on how a new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device has been spotted in certification listings. The device showcased there featured better and improved specs. The company has today made this news official.

This news has been confirmed by Samsung’s mobile division’s president Koh Dong-jin. He said “It is true that we are reviewing the rollout of a new tablet with 128 gigabyte built-in memory in China because Chinese companies are aggressively doing marketing with high-capacity memory.” The device also features 6GB of RAM, based on the earlier listings. However, Koh did not comment on it.

Samsung is probably making a desperate attempt here to gain market share in the Chinese markets. The company has been constantly losing out market share here, and they now aim to revive their devices here. The report might end up disappointing many international markets. However, in business, one has to be very clear about their priorities and emotions cant drive decisions. Samsung is indeed doing the right thing here. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is all set to take the device through more successful quarters later in the year.
