Google, the search giant launched the Google Pixel smartphone series as the replacement to the Nexus smartphones. Unlike the Nexus devices, the Pixel devices are ‘Made by Google.’ So it’s not just the software that comes from Google, the hardware also comes from Google. The software and hardware from the same company make things even better, we’ve seen how beasty the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL is.

A lot of people have seen the performance of Pixel and some of them also claim that even after one year of launch, the Google Pixel smartphone is one of the best Android Phones to use. That’s why a lot of people have been waiting for the Pixel 2 and XL 2 to be launched.

Evleaks, one of the most reputed Leakster when it comes to leaking smartphones has recently posted two tweets, leaking the Pixel 2 XL. One of the tweets has the image of the Google Pixel 2 XL encased into a case and the other one has the image of Google Pixel 2 XL without the case.

While this news brings happiness to some people, some of them are really disappointed because they expected an infinity display or the edge-to-edge display which comes with the iPhone X from Apple and Andy Rubin’s Essential PH-1. However, the display is neither edge-to-edge nor is an infinity display.

Both the models are expected to run on the latest version of Android, i.e. the Android Oreo. Since they are made by Google, the software updates won’t just be regular, but they’ll be the first ones to experience the latest OS updates. Google is extending the security patch support for the Nexus 5X and 6P which clearly confirms that even the Pixel devices will be getting LTS (Long term support.)

There is no official news on the camera part, It is said that the Telephoto lens on the Pixel XL 2 would work similar to the filters and features that come with the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. If you are an Android user, then this is probably going to be one of the best smartphones, However, I won’t comment a word about it without testing the phone.

Although, the phone looks really awesome. But after looking at the iPhone X and the Essential PH-1, a lot of people don’t actually want the bezel on the top. Also, there are no details on the size of the display and the type of the display. However, as per the reports from Newsient, it seems that the Pixel 2 might come with a 4.99-inch display and the Pixel 2 XL might come with a 5.5-inch display. I would still suggest you wait for the official information before making up your mind based on the rumored specs.
