Google Pixel XL 2 Design
If the leaks are to be believed, the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone would feature a similar yet distinct form factor when compared to last years’ Pixel phones. The feel of the phone remains the same as it still has the metal and glass back, as well as the curved back. However, there are a number of changes to the design of the phone this time. Let us take a detailed look at the changes and upgrades to the design of this new Pixel XL 2 smartphone from Google:
Looking at the back side of the phone, there’s remarkable difference from the previous years Pixel phones. Firstly, the glass portion has been made smaller. This is mostly due to the fact that it no longer has to accommodate the fingerprint scanner, as the fingerprint scanner is no longer in the glass panel. Additionally, another visible change on the back side of the Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone is the fact that antenna lines are absent.
In addition to this, another major, noticeable change comes to the camera. The camera of the Google Pixel XL 2 has been made larger, and now features a slight bump thanks to a ring around it. We’re not sure if the phone packs in a dual camera as of now.
The Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone features a large display with very thin bezels. This gives it a more ‘modern’ design and puts it in line with other modern day flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. The phone also features a 6 inched display, which offers a 2:1 ratio, thereby fitting more display in the same sized phone as last year. Currently it is not clear if the phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack. However chances are it might be axed to make the phone waterproof.
The speaker grille on top has been made wider when compared to last year. The display which is being used here is an LG made AMOLED panel. Interestingly, another detail that has emerged about the Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone is the fact that it will feature a squeezable frame, similar to the . As of now we’re not sure about how Google plans to make use of it.
