Reliance is among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology in India. Last year they sparked off a digital revolution in the country as they offered free data for the users of Reliance Jio for six months. Since then, the company has witnessed a massive rise and has shaken up the entire telecom sector in the nation. However, they have had controversies of their own. The latest such controversy involves the Reliance Jio database having been leaked.

Yesterday, a website called magicapk.com emerged which showed the Name, Date of Activation and e-mail ID of any Reliance Jio number. Following that, there have been more leaks, and a database of over 120 Million Reliance Jio users has been spotted on the Darkweb today.

A user called m00n$hine claims that he has a database of over 120 Million users of a leading Indian telecom operator. While the post does not mention the name of Reliance Jio directly, considering that the Reliance Jio leaks have been spotted in recent times, this is most likely the complete leaked Reliance Jio Database.

The user claims that the database includes not only the basic stuff that was spotted yesterday but more detailed, private information such as billing details, verified address details, as well as call records of the users. The database is at sale for 19 Bitcoins, equivalent of nearly 30,00,000 INR.

Reliance has declined on any such data leak stating: “We have come across the unverified and unsubstantiated claims of the website and are investigating it. Prima facie, the data appears to be unauthentic. We want to assure our subscribers that their data is safe and maintained with highest security. Data is only shared with authorities as per their requirement. We have informed law enforcement agencies about the claims of the website and will follow through to ensure strict action is taken.”
