Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics company is well known for the development of Smartphones. Earlier this year, Xiaomi has launched it’s Sub-Brand “Mi Ecosystem” in China. Now, the company is set to launch Xiaomi Mi Purifier 2 under this brand in India on 21st September. The Xiaomi Air Purifier first generation was launched back in 2014.
Xiaomi has earlier announced the launch of Mi Ecosystem in India without revealing the dates of the event. Currently, Xiaomi Mi Purifier 2 will be the first home appliance to be launched in India by the company. As the amount of air pollution is increasing in various cities, the tool will give the fresh air to users. Products other than smartphones, SmartTV and smart routers are covered in Mi Ecosystem. This air purifier like all the other home appliances can be controlled via Mi Home app available on the smartphone.
Xiaomi’s India Head, Manu Kumar Jain in the tweet said, “Every breath of fresh air is equally important”- announcing the Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier launch in India. Also, the event can be watched live at 12PM IST on the Xiaomi’s YouTube Channel.
Moving towards the specifications of the purifier, the dimensions of the device are 520x240mm which is smaller as compared to the previous purifier whose dimensions are 735x260mm. Also, the size of the purifier is similar to the size of an A4 size paper. Xiaomi claims that Mi Air Purifier 2 has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of up to 310-cubic metres per hour.
The new device will be 11% less noisy than the previous device, having the noise level of just 30db. Air Purifier 2 will work 58% more efficiently than the previous purifier. Also, the company claims that the device can remove up to 99.7 percent of the PM2.5 particulates in just an hr. The special feature of the app is, it suggests you whether turn on the device or not, based on the outdoor air condition. The Mi Home app is available on Android and iOS.
