Over the past several years, there have been many updates and upgrades which have been made to the world of technology as we know it to be. Perhaps the biggest change came with the smartphone revolution, which helped bring the Android OS to the forefront. With the arrival of the Android OS, things began to change drastically, and the markets took a major turn. Google keeps bringing forward major updates and upgrades to the way the markets of technology function. The company is now working on bringing forward their latest upgrade, as the Android Nougat OS begins its rollout today.

The Android Nougat OS, formerly known as Android 7.0, has been the talk of the town for quite a while now. Google announced the arrival of this OS months before schedule. The company released the developer’s build for the OS in March. Then came the Google I/O 2016, where the OS was made official, followed by the naming of the device which happened a few weeks later. The Android Nougat OS has been highly anticipated.

This much awaited Operating System finally released officially today. The update rolled out today, and has been released for the Nexus series of smartphones. While the exact details are yet to be known about the availability of this OS, as of now, it has started rolling out for the users of Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C, and General Mobile 4G.

This finally draws a curtain on the LG Nexus 5 smartphone, perhaps the most popular smartphone ever created in the Nexus series. This is the first Android OS update since the creation of this smartphone that it will not be getting. In addition to this, Google has also announced that the LG V20 smartphone would be the first ever smartphone to release with the Android Nougat OS out of the box.
