Tuesday, the 13th of June is less than 10 days from today. Come the 13th, Nokia is going to launch their gen-next Android smartphones - Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 in India. The first two devices were launched during the Mobile World Congress event in February, while the third one was launched earlier in January in China, but has since been coming out for more nations. The trio are now set to make their debut in India.
The Nokia 3310, which was also announced at the MWC 2017 is already out in India and has been selling well. The phone is in a high demand and a similar effect will be seen once the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 come out. India has been among the biggest markets for Nokia in the past. However, now that they are all set to return, donning the Android OS this time, the company is anxious to know how the markets will respond.
The Nokia 6, which came out in China first was sold out in less than sixty seconds, making it officially a ‘hit’. The Indian smartphone markets too, are known for these sensational numbers, and Nokia being a brand every man, woman and child in the country knows, it is likely to generate a lot of buzz. This event will be held by HMD Global, the company that now manufactures Nokia branded mobile phones.
To recall, the Nokia 6 is the most powerful of the three phones when it comes to specifications. It runs on the Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It features the Adreno 505 GPU. The phone comes out into the markets with a 5.5 inched display, and the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS running on top.
It comes in two variants - 32GB of storage with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with 4GB of RAM. It offers a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera. The Nokia 6 runs on a 3000mAh battery.
Nokia’s second phone that will launch in India on the 13th of June, the Nokia 5 comes out into the markets with a 5.2 inched display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor that features a Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and an Adreno 505 GPU.
The Nokia 5 runs on the latest version of the Android OS - the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It comes out in only one variant, offering 16GB of storage along with 2GB of RAM. The phone features a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera. It runs on a 3000mAh battery.
The third and final Nokia phone that will be announced on the 13th of June is the Nokia 3 smartphone. This phone is all set to come out into the markets with a 5 inched display, and will run on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS (Unlike the other two which would run on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS).
A Mediatek MT6737 processor would power the device along with a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and a Mali-T720MP2 GPU. This phone too, would come out in a 16GB storage/2GB RAM variant. The camera on both, the front and the back is that of 8 Megapixels on the Nokia 3.
