Google has been among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company, aside from their technological prowess, is also appreciated for their humanitarian work. Aside from promoting technology around the world, Google has empowered people to break all barriers and do better in life. The company has now introduced a new donations card which prompts up on your phone when you search for disasters using Google Search.

This was spotted by a Reddit user who was looking up the Portugal Fire on Google Search. The card that pops up when he searches for the disaster prompts him to donate to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. Google works with this nonprofit organization and helps them work towards the benefit of those affected by the disasters, and that people are safe from any such incidents in the future. Google states that 100% of the donated amount will go towards the cause.

Google Search is the most popularly used search platform in the world. Hundreds of millions of people across the world use Google Search to look up for information on a large number of subject matters. With this donations card now coming up on search, it will ensure that the right audience gets the message to donate. Those looking up the cause are likely concerned, or feel some kind of an association.

With the scams associated to nonprofits rising over the past decade, it has become hard to trust these organizations as there is always doubt among the donors if their money is actually going to those affected. However, with Google comes a whole new level of credibility. This is indeed a good gesture from Google and would ensure that these nonprofits get enough funding for the causes that they stand for. This feature should soon be rolling out for more users in the days to follow.
