Moto Z2 Force: Carrier Availability, Specifications Leak Before Launch

Motorola has been among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has been one of the pioneers in the world of mobile phone devices, and they have captured quite a significant portion of the smartphone markets too. Motorola is all set to hold an event on Tuesday, the 25th of July, where they are going to announce a new smartphone. It is expected that this phone will be the Moto Z2 Force.

Motorola introduced the Moto Z Force last year along with the Moto Z and Moto Z Play. This year, the company has already announced the Moto Z2 Play, while the main Z2 as well as Z2 Force are yet to be announced. Let us take a closer look at the specifications and carrier availability of this smartphone from Motorola.

Moto Z2 Force Specifications

The Z2 Force is all set to come out on Tuesday. The phone is expected to feature a 5.5 inched display with a QHD resolution. The display of the phone has been one of the highlights, even last year. The phone features a ShatterShield display technology, which makes the screen of the phone ‘shatterproof’. This is one of the biggest highlights of the device and has been much appreciated.

The phone has been made slimmer too. The Moto Z Force was considerably bulky, and the Z2 Force cuts down on that. However, by cutting down on the bulk, the Moto Z2 Force has also reduced the battery life as it has gone down by 20%. While it was 3500mAh last year, this year it is 2750mAh.

Another interesting aspect of the Moto Z2 Force is the fact that this time it comes with dual cameras on the back. Both the cameras are expected to offer a 12MP resolution. The phone also features a single LED flash towards the front camera. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor. All the regions except the US are likely to get a 6GB RAM model.

In the US, the phone will come out only in the 4GB RAM variant. A slight disappointment if you’re based in the US. For everyone else, however, the phone is quite a delight. The Moto Z2 Force will run on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box. However, it is guaranteed to get an upgrade to Android O OS.

Moto Z2 Force: Carrier Availability

We had reported back in April that the upcoming Z2 Force smartphone would not be exclusive to Verizon like it was last year. This year, the device comes with a better reach, as it is available to the users of the big 4 i.e. all four of the US based carriers will have this phone this year. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile users will all be able to buy the Z2 Force.

Lenovo, the company which owns Motorola has always been known to get the demand and retail supply right. It looks like they are on the right path once again. Stay tuned with us as we cover the launch of the Moto Z2 Force live on Tuesday.
